BERGET SVEZIA VIII
Svezia

- 17 - 18 - 19 - 20 GIUGNO 2010

The year
is 2010, Arbedid Valley has been
under siege by the Poldavian
forces for 6 months. Poldavia is
a large country to the south of
devastated Liburania; Arebid
Valley lies on the border within
the same resource rich area that
has fueled Liburania’s problems
for years. The Poldovian
government has grown rich on the
export of the regions natural
resource of iron and coal, the
recent discovery of large
uranium deposits has further
filled the governments pockets.
With
Liburania falling apart
thousands of civilians have
flooded south through the Arebid
valley looking for refuge, this
has caused civil unrest within
the valley and the rise of the
NAF (Northern Alliance Force)
who are demanding the government
to reform and distribute its
wealth. Un-confirmed rumors say
that illegal exportation of
plutonium have funded the
build-up of their military. Also
with secretly uranium enrichment
facilities, and that in fact
Poldavian sourced plutonium was
used in the construction of the
nuclear weapon detonated in
Liburania.
During the Liburanian wars,
Poldavia did not openly attack
NAF due to the fear that NATO
would intervene, now that NATO
has withdrawn their hand is
freed to quash the
anti-government sentiment.
There are still many civilians
inside the valley, including
locals and Liburanian refugees.
Poldavian operations in the last
6 months have captured and
imprisoned both members of NAF,
their civilian supporters and
variou s
Liburanian refugees.
Arbedid valley is now split into
three zones, the center and
northern zone are held by the
Poldavian Forces.
Except parts of NAF 3rd Ranger
battalion that holds a fortified
supply base as a last pocket of
resistance. The green zone is
held by NAF main forces and also
aids and protects the civilian
refugee camps. The center zone
holds most of the Poldavian
forces including a prison camp
holding both captured NAF forces
and civilians.
Hundreds of civilians are trying
to escape into the green zone
and both Poldovian forces and
NAF have been setting up
checkpoints, barbwire fences and
minefields along the border into
the green zone.
